PhiloCyber / Open tool / Document
Notes and meeting intelligence that never leave your machine.
An open-source desktop app for notes and meeting intelligence. Record a meeting, transcribe it locally, turn it into approved minutes and deliver the actions to Jira or Slack. Local AI by default, cloud only when you opt in. To enjoy, with intention.

The problem
Meeting tools want your audio in their cloud; notes apps keep the text and lose the thread between a decision and its evidence. PhiloNotes keeps everything on your device — SQLite, local whisper, local LLMs — and only talks to the cloud when you explicitly configure it.
Who it is for
Individual practitioners who capture ideas and meetings and want private, local AI assistance on their own machine. Deliberately personal — not a team collaboration suite.
What it does
Quick Capture, from anywhere
A global shortcut (Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+N) opens a capture overlay over whatever you are doing. Voice notes get AI titles; screenshots (Cmd/Ctrl+1) and OCR (Cmd/Ctrl+2) attach to context.
Meeting recording without drivers
System audio plus microphone on Windows and macOS — no virtual audio devices — or import existing audio files.
Local transcription and speakers
faster-whisper runs on-device (Groq and Deepgram are opt-in), and local voiceprints match speakers with confidence scores.
Minutes with an approval gate
Summaries move draft → reviewed → approved. Jira and Slack exports stay locked until the minutes are explicitly approved.
AI on your terms
Ollama (qwen3.5) by default; Kimi and Gemini only when you configure them. Encrypted secrets, separate database per workspace profile.
Ask AI and Morning Digest
Chat over your own notes and decisions, and start the day with a brief built from open items and calendar context.
How it works
- 01/06Capture
Quick Capture overlay, voice notes, screenshots and OCR — an idea or a meeting enters in seconds.
- 02/06Record
System audio and microphone, matched against your Google Calendar event (read-only).
- 03/06Transcribe
Local faster-whisper by default, with diarization and speaker voiceprints; cloud STT only if you choose it.
- 04/06Summarize
Template-based summaries (daily standup, one-on-one) with versions and a saved prompt trace per generation.
- 05/06Review and approve
Insights land as Actions, Decisions, Risks and Questions with owner, due date and evidence — then minutes get approved.
- 06/06Deliver
Ops exports, CSV, JSON, briefs by owner, Jira issues and Slack posts — each with preview and confirm.
